My name is Lucy Greenwood and I am the face behind Greenwood Adorned.
Nothing is mass produced at Greenwood Adorned, it is real handmade jewellery that I put my all into and I like to think that makes my jewellery unique and cherishable.
Sustainability and looking after the world around us is important at Greenwood Adorned, I use recycled silver in my designs and packaging is eco friendly and biodegradable and I am always looking at ways I can make practices more eco friendly.
I wish Greenwood Adorned to break the boundaries of female and male jewellery, if you like something wear it because it speaks to your soul and makes you feel fabulous when you wear it.
I hope you enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I have enjoyed creating them, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
A little bit about me and my jewellery making journey;
I am fortunate enough to live in my family home in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside where I am surrounded by woodland, nature and the gorgeous animals with whom I share my home.
I have a fantastic romantic flower garden that looks fabulous during the summer, but that evolves and changes during the seasons, so I always have fantastic inspiration from shapes, colours and patterns to draw from my surroundings every day.
It is in this special space that my Greenwood Adorned creations are imagined and born.
When I was a child I was fascinated by gemstones and began to collect a variety of rocks and minerals, I also loved beautiful glass seed beads, but my journey into jewellery making did not come until much later.
I focused on papercraft including card making using a variety of mediums and a lot of my designs have inspired pieces of jewellery that I make now.
Although I still enjoy papercraft my real passion is jewellery making. I love how a piece of jewellery can evolve and change and it is so exciting to wake up in the middle of the night with a fantastic idea for a design (this happens a lot!) scribble down a rough sketch in my note book that I keep at the side of my bed, then get working on the design as soon as I can, it is magical to watch it go from that rough sketch on paper and through planning and imagination transform into a beautiful piece of wearable art.
I work with a variety of materials including sterling and fine silver, copper, enamel and semi-precious stones. I always want to try new ideas and techniques, so I can expand and vary my creations. It is so exciting how many things there are to learn and explore.
